SMT
In the world of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) it is all about speed and accuracy. Components per hour, or CPH, is the number of single components a machine can place per hour on a PCB. At CEM we have one of the fastest and most efficient line production systems available. Our fully automated Yamaha line system can place over 150,000 CPH within a .025mm accuracy range.
Inspection
We have recently added an Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) post reflow. The Yamaha YSi-V AOI can do a 2D high resolution inspection, a 3D inspection for heights and slopes, and a 4D angular inspection with its high speed 12 Mpixel cameras. We also use this system to scan QR coded boards labeled in house. This allows us to document, track, and make any reworks necessary to provide a very high yield percentage for our customers.
Thru-Hole
We have 2 wave solder machines in house for use with lead or lead-free applications. In addition, we also have 2 Nordson selective solder machine that can be programed to singularly solder multiple components without sacrificing the integrity of surrounding sensitive material.
